Travel Teams
Our Mite, Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam Travel Teams are preparing for the 2002 Connecticut Hockey Conference State Tournament in February. Look for schedules posted at the Milford Ice Pavilion. Congratulations to the Squirt A Travel Team who ranked 1st place in the Holiday Tournament in Stamford, to the Mite A Travel Team who ranked 1st place in the Thanksgiving Tournament in Avon, and to the PeeWee B Travel Team who ranked a 2nd place finish in the Delungo Tournament in East Haven.
House Teams
The Mite, Squirt and PeeWee House teams are nearing the end of their season and we'd like to congratulate them on their sportsmanship, teamwork and enthusiasm during their season. Congratulations to the Mite House teams as they traveled to East Haven for a tournament. Mite House teams were divided by age into three teams and each player participated in two games. SCYH Mite House Teams won all games in this tournament.
During December the SCYH Barry Sheehan Memorial Squirt House Tournament was held. Teams from Wallingford, New Haven, East Haven joined the SCYH Squirt House Teams for 2 days of ice hockey.
SCYH Girls Hockey
The SCYH Girls PeeWee and Midget Travel Teams are enjoying success once again this season. Congratulations to the Girls PeeWee Travel Team for a 1st place finish in a Thanksgiving Weekend Tournament.

The SCYH Program information telephone number is (203) 878-2844. Call this number for up-to-date information on events and scheduled activities. SCYH is now online at www.scyhstars.org. Beginning January 2001 our Website will be enhanced and maintained by students from Quinnipiac University. Look for up-to-date information, schedules and team results beginning in February 2001.
Other Information
Spring Clinic - our Spring clinic will begin at the end of March. Look for details at the rink in coming weeks. Clinic registration is up 30% this year due to referrals from our current membership. Our youngest skaters have become confident on the ice and are beginning to have full-ice games as we prepare for our annual Frank Carrano Memorial Jamboree on February 17th and 18th. Other clinic teams will play games against SCYH players.
Season Fee Payments - full payment is required for players ice privileges to continue. Check with your team coach to ensure all payments have been received.
Annual Board of Directors Meeting - the Annual Board of Directors Meeting will be held Wednesday April 3, 2002 at 7:00 PM at the Margaret Egan Center in Milford. Elections for the 2001-2002 season Board of Directors will be held at this meeting. Further information will be forthcoming in the spring President's Letter.
